Burraco against the computer
Fancy a game of Burraco but there's nobody to play with? On FantaCarte the CPU is always ready: you join, sit down and the game starts right away. Free, on phone or computer, with nothing to download.
How to play against the computer
In every room there's always a table with the CPU and a free seat waiting for you. Choose the type of game, sit down and off you go, no waiting.
- Burraco for 2: you against the computer, one against one.
- Burraco for 4: you paired with a CPU, against a pair of CPUs.
- How long it lasts: quick game to 505 points, classic to 1005 or long to 2005.
The CPU doesn't cheat
The CPU plays by the same rules as people and doesn't see your cards, nor those in the deck or the pozzetto. The deck is shuffled every round with a cryptographic random number generator, and every card drawn is chosen at random from those left: nobody, not even the computer, knows what's coming.
For learning and practising
Guided game
If you don't know Burraco yet, try the guided game: a game against the computer that explains the moves one at a time, from drawing to closing.
Practice
With the CPU you can calmly try out the strategies in the 10 tips to win at Burraco: when to take the discard pile, how to use wild cards, when to go for the pozzetto. Practice games don't count for the leaderboard, so you can make as many mistakes as you like.
Clicked the wrong thing?
Invalid moves are rejected with a message explaining why: it's a good way to learn the rules as you go.
And when you want to play with people
In the same rooms you'll find tables opened by other players, or you can open a private table with friends. If a friend steps away during the game, the CPU plays in their place, so the game doesn't get stuck.
The rules in brief
Two decks and 4 jokers, 11 cards each and two pozzetti. You meld runs and sets of at least 3 cards, with at most one wild card (joker or pinella) per meld. A meld of 7 cards is a burraco. To close you need the pozzetto and at least one burraco. All the rules are on the Burraco rules page.
