FantaCarte terms of use

The service
FantaCarte is an online service for playing Burraco, Scala 40 and Scopa, alone or with other people, and for using the social features available on the site. Access to the game is free. Experience points, levels, trophies and virtual cosmetic items are not money and cannot be converted into money or transferred outside the service.
The service may be updated, temporarily suspended for maintenance or changed for technical, security or management reasons. We do our best to keep the features available, but we can't guarantee operation free of interruptions or errors on every device and connection.
Account and access
To play online you must sign in with one of the methods provided. You are responsible for the use of your account and for choosing a nickname that doesn't infringe the rights of others or the rules below. Don't share credentials or access codes, and let us know if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
Third-party sign-in services, such as Google and Firebase, are also subject to the terms and policies of their respective providers. FantaCarte does not control the availability or decisions of those services.
Rules of conduct
By using FantaCarte you agree to:
- respect other players and not use nicknames, chat or social features to threaten, harass, discriminate against, insult or spread unlawful content;
- not send spam, scams, unsolicited advertising or harmful links;
- not cheat, manipulate games or leaderboards, exploit bugs, interfere with the service or try to access other people's accounts, data or systems;
- not use the service in breach of the law or of other people's rights.
Moderation and reports
The chat may be filtered automatically and reports may be reviewed by moderators. In the event of a violation, to protect users and the service we may remove content, temporarily limit some features or suspend an account. The measure depends on how serious and how repeated the behaviour is. You can contact us to ask about a decision.
Content and intellectual property
FantaCarte, its interface and related elements are protected by the applicable laws. The playing cards included on the site are distributed under the LGPL-3.0 licence; credits and licences are available on the credits page.
You keep the rights to the content you send. You authorise us to process it to the extent needed to show it to other players and to run, moderate and protect the service. Don't send other people's personal data or content without being entitled to.
Privacy and account deletion
How data is processed and how to delete your account are described in the Privacy notice. You can stop using the service at any time and ask for your account to be deleted following the instructions in the notice.
Liability
FantaCarte is provided free of charge and without any guarantee of continuous availability. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for interruptions caused by connections, devices or third-party services, nor for damage caused by improper use of the service or by breach of these terms. In any case, the mandatory rights and protections granted by law remain unaffected.
Changes and applicable law
We may update these terms; the updated version will be published on this page with its date. Using the service after the changes are published means accepting the new version. Italian law applies, without prejudice to mandatory rights and the jurisdiction rules protecting consumers.
